THE CODE

A few simple expectations that protect what makes Onyx, Onyx.
Membership at Onyx is a privilege, not a transaction. These rules exist to preserve the atmosphere, privacy, and quality of experience that drew you here in the first place. By joining, you agree to honor them — and to hold one another accountable to the same standard.

Membership & Access

  • Membership is granted by application and approval. All applicants must be 25 years or older.
  • Members must present valid identification upon request and may be required to scan in at the door.
  • Memberships are non-transferable. Sharing access cards, codes, or login credentials is grounds for immediate termination.
  • Onyx reserves the right to decline or revoke membership at its sole discretion.

Guest Policy

  • Members may bring up to two (2) guests at a time during open hours, subject to capacity.
  • Guests must be 25 or older and accompanied by their host member at all times.
  • Members are fully responsible for their guests' conduct, payments, and adherence to house rules.
  • Certain events are members-only and not open to guests, even when accompanied.

Dress Code

Smart, polished, and intentional. Onyx is a setting where presence matters.
  • Daytime (9am – 5pm): Smart casual. Elevated streetwear is welcome.
  • Evening & Events: Cocktail attire or smart elegant. No athletic wear, gym shorts, beachwear, or excessively distressed clothing.
  • Door discretion applies. If you're unsure, dress up.

Privacy & Photography

What happens at Onyx stays at Onyx. Discretion is non-negotiable.
  • Photography and video recording of other members or guests without their consent is strictly prohibited.
  • Posting identifiable images of others on social media without permission is grounds for membership review.
  • Designated photo zones may be available during ticketed events. Outside of those, ask first.
  • Phone calls should be taken in designated phone rooms or outside common areas.

Conduct

Onyx is a space for elevated company. Treat the room — and one another — accordingly.
  • Harassment, discrimination, aggression, or unwelcome advances of any kind will result in immediate removal and termination.
  • Solicitation, networking that crosses into pestering, or distributing flyers and promotional material is not permitted without prior approval.
  • Members and guests are expected to drink responsibly. Onyx reserves the right to refuse service.
  • No outside food, drink, or substances may be brought onto the premises.

Coworking Etiquette

By day, Onyx serves as a quiet, productive workspace. Treat it like a shared library.
  • Keep voices low. Use phone rooms for calls and video meetings.
  • Headphones are encouraged. Avoid playing media on speakerphone.
  • Clean up after yourself. Plates, glasses, and personal items should not be left unattended.
  • Do not reserve seating with belongings. Open seats are fair game after 15 minutes unattended.
  • Conference rooms must be booked in advance and vacated on time.

Events & RSVPs

  • RSVPs are required for all ticketed events and many member-only nights.
  • Confirmed RSVPs that are not honored more than twice in a calendar year may result in event privileges being suspended.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless approved in advance.
  • Capacity is limited and enforced. Arrive early to secure entry.

Payments, Tabs & Cancellation

  • Membership dues are billed monthly or annually and are non-refundable.
  • Members are responsible for keeping payment information current. Lapsed dues may suspend access.
  • Open tabs must be closed at the end of each visit. A card on file is required.
  • Cancellation of membership requires 30 days written notice to info@onyxlounge.com.

The Space

  • Members are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their guests.
  • Onyx is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unattended personal items.
  • Smoking and vaping are limited to designated outdoor areas.
  • Pets are not permitted, with the exception of certified service animals.

Enforcement

Onyx staff have full authority to enforce these rules. Violations may result in:
  • A verbal or written warning.
  • Temporary suspension of access or guest privileges.
  • Permanent termination of membership without refund.
Decisions made by management are final. We reserve the right to update these rules at any time; members will be notified of material changes.
